Take A Breather

As I briefly wrote in my previous post, when I found myself with a singular class that required my presence on campus a mere once a week, I had a hard time dealing with the resulting social isolation from my peers. As I also wrote, I was fortunate enough to tap into a support system that enabled me to discover ways to manage such struggles. Even so, I would like to retouch upon the same issue I wrote about before, … Continue reading

Class Rep

I started writing this post pretty soon after nursing school began in August. I never found the time to finish, and now the very same semester is at an end with only three weeks remaining before the winter holiday. In a way, I am glad that I didn’t put this post out at the beginning of the semester, as so many things have happened since then. I can hardly believe the months flew by as quickly as they did — … Continue reading

Back to Pavilion

Last I wrote, I was wrapping up my adventures in the Dallas / Fort Worth area and was fixing to move to Houston for nursing school. Having grown up there, the Houston area is my home. At the end of July, I finally returned to reclaim my bedroom that otherwise sat empty outside of the holiday season. At any rate, this post once again serves as an update about my … Continue reading

Refit: Three Months Later

Two more months have passed since the last time I posted regarding the aftermath of my departure from medical school. I apologize if these update posts are not very engaging to read, but I also find it important for myself to document this progression. As I mentioned before, I try to keep my bearings so that I do not fall into the rut where I completely lose track of the all the time spent in this situation. For this reason, … Continue reading

Repairs: One Month Later

It has only been a mere thirty-one days since the post announcing the cataclysmic shift in my aspirations, yet my time in medical school feels far in the distant past. I suppose I can owe it to the stark contrast between my lifestyle then and my now stagnant circumstances, but regaining my free time also puts into perspective just how much time one is given to either use or squander. Recently, I was forced to flip from one of these … Continue reading
